Mesmerising Grahan village

If you are looking for a place away from city buzz and dont prefer going to the crowded treks as well, i can tell you this place is perfect for you.

Grahan is a remote village located in the beautiful parvati valley

I was just looking or some offbeat location and bump into the name GRAHAN VILLAGE. However there is very little information available on the internet about this village. That also adds to the factor very few people visit this place

Day 0

Grahan was an on the spot plan . I was looking for some offbeat places on google and Grahan showed up there.

DAY 1

So our bus dropped us at kasol in the morning at around 7-8 AM. There is a bridge is kasol and there is a public toiled just before the bridge starts. For those who are travelling can freshen up at the public washroom. It can say when we visited it was clean and well maintained. After fleshing up, we went to a cafe for having our breakfast. We also met a guy there who told us everything about different types of “nasha patta (drugs/weed)”available in kasol and told us we should try them all. haha. After breakfast we started our trek at around 10-11AM we started th trek. Usually there are alot of people on the trek but there was none apart from us three there. The river floes along the trail for the initial 2-3 hours of trek making the trek more beautiful.

As went ahead the trail became all wet. Narrow streams of water were flowing through the trail

We reached the village at around 5 PM. Sat outside our home stay and fed the dogs accompanying us. Soon the owner served us tea and evening snacks. Keep in mind there is no network available in the village and inform your loved one before going to this trek that you will be out of reach for 2 days. As the sun set we chit chatted with the owners of the homestay. We also helped them in cutting vegetables for our food . haha

During our chitchat the owner told us about three waterfalls that were there at s some distance from the village and we decided to visit the three waterfalls next day. We woke up early and freshen ourselves. The trail to waterfall was a failry easy trail and can be covered in 1-2 hours.

We explored the village, played wtih snow. And at around 11 AMwe started our descend to kasol.

We came back at around 10 and had our breakfast. I must say peopole of grah are really really nice and humbele. Aslo as there is no network available in your mobile phones yoou send more time taling to the locals in this place.

At around 11 AM we started our descend down to the kasol. During midway it started raining making the trail more slippery and little difficult. At around 4PM We reached kasol.

We had our lunch and after that explored the local market of kasol.

We left kasol at around 8PM and reached Chandigarh early morning next day
